The Pafks Will Observe Their 50th Anniversary.
Mr. and Mrs. John Pafk of 42740 Koepsel Road, Akron, N.Y., will observe their 50th wedding anniversary, Dec. 12. The couple will be the guests of honor at an Open House reception Sunday, Dec. 10 from 4 until 6 p.m. at St. Michael's Parish Hall, Wolcottsville to be given by their family. The couple has two sons, Kenneth Pafk and Glenn Pafk, both of Akron and nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mr. Pafk was born and raised on the Feeder Road, Basom, where after his marriage to the former Mabel Koepsel, Dec. 12, 1917, the couple made their home until 1965, when Mr. Pafk retired from his occupation of dairy and general farmer. It was in 1965 that the New York State Conservation Department purchased the family farms for the Tonawanda Wildlife Preserve.
