Betty was born in Piercefield, New York on October 31, 1931 to Francis and Beatrice (DesJardins) Machaby. Betty was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother to her family. Betty is survived by her husband Robert Allen Proefrock, son and daughters Robert A. (April) Proefrock, Beth (Kama) Patterson, Jan (the late Donald) Loeffert-Foss, sister of the late Patricia, Francis, and Hector, grandmother of Melissa (Mike), Nicole (Jay), Amber, Gary, Katie, Nicholas (Ashley) and Robbie, great grandmother of Brandon, Dillon, Emily, and Jordan. also Surviving are many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Betty's life will be held Wednesday, May 27th, 7 to 9 pm at Adams Fire Hall, 7113 Nash Rd. N. Tonawanda NY. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in memory of Mary "Betty" Proefrock to DeGraff Memorial Fund, 445 Tremont Street, North Tonawanda, 14120.
