- Gladys A. Beutel (nee Bartel) age 94, of Sanborn, passed away June 29, 2007, in Mt. View Health Facility in Lockport. Mrs. Beutel was born April 11, 1913 in North Tonawanda, daughter of the late Gustav and Emma Bartel. Mrs. Beutel was a life long member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and a member of it's Ladies Aid Society and Friendship Club. She was also a member of the Newfane Senior Citizens. Mrs. Beutel loved gardening, baking, writing poetry, sewing and quilting. Mrs. Beutel is predeceased by her husband the late Hubert T. Beutel who passed away in 1991. She is the beloved mother of Howard (Arlene) of Medina NY, late Jerry (Gail) Beutel of Lockport, Raymond (Amanda) Beutel of Lockport, Bonita (Leonard) Forth of Macedon and Rev. David (Kathleen) Beutel of Sanborn. Sister of the late Edward Bartel, late Clara (late William) Beutel, late Louis Bartel and late Margaret (Allen) Stoelting. Also survived by ten grand children, eight great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Friends may call Monday from 2 to 9 PM at the Wattengel Funeral Home 307 Oliver St. North Tonawanda. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 11 AM from St. Paul's Lutheran Church 453 Old Falls, Blvd, North Tonawanda with the Rev. Karl Hauessler officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
