- STANGE - John W. Stange, 75, of North Tonawanda, Wednesday (January 21, 1981) at Buffalo General Hospital after a brief illness. Mr. Stange was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, a former superintendent of St. Mark Sunday School for 40 years, past president of the Stange Agency, Inc., a member of the Senior Citizens of North Tonawanda and Senior Citizens of St. Mark Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife, Elsie (nee Meyers) Stange; a son, Kenneth (Gloria) Stange; two grandsons, Douglas (Melissa) Stange and Dennis (Paula) Stange; a sister, Mrs. Erna Behm; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Josephine Stange and nieces and nephews, all of North Tonawanda, brother of the late Arthur Stange. Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home, Inc., 1241 Oliver St., at Ward Rd., North Tonawanda this evening 7 to 9 and Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held in St. Mark Lutheran Church Saturday at 10:30 a.m., the Rev. Thomas K. Spahn will officiate. Interment in St. Mark Lutheran Cemetery. If so desired, memorials may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church Fire Alarm System.
