Glen Sherwood of 3685 Lockport Rd., Sanborn, N.Y. in Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital, May 2, 1974. Mr. Sherwood was a native of St. Louis, Michigan and had resided in the Shawnee area since 1925. He was a charter member of Shawnee Volunteer Fire Co. He was predeceased by his wife, Bessie Sherwood and one son Leland Sherwood. He is survived by three sons, Dale G. Sherwood of Layton,Utah; Robert E. Sherwood of Vidor, TX and Clayton Sherwood of Sanborn; three daughters, Mrs. John (Vesta) Snelgrove, Mrs. Edward (Marian) Forth, both of Sanborn; one brother, Clarence E. Sherwood of Sanborn, two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Russell, of Niagara Falls and Mrs. Erwin (Marian) Hamann of North Tonawanda; 19 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family will be present at the Rhoney Funeral Home, Inc., 5893 Hoover Rd., Sanborn from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday where funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m.with the Rev. Kenneth H. Kolbe officiating. Interment in the Wheatfield Cemetery. Memorial services by the Shawnee Vol. Fire Co. will be held Friday at 7:30 p.m.at the funeral home.
