Gerald W. Beutel, 55, a former employee of Delphi Harrison Thermal Systems in Lockport, died Friday (Aug. 29, 1997) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after being stricken at his home on Upper Mountain Road. Born in North Tonawanda, he was a graduate of North Tonawanda High School. He had lived in Pekin since 1966. He worked for several years at Kimberly-Clark Corp. in Niagara Falls, then for a year in the Town of Wheatfield's Water Division. He later was employed by Harrison Radiator, which became Delphi Harrison Thermal Systems, from 1964 until he took a medical retirement in 1992. He was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church and Local 686, United Auto Workers. He enjoyed hunting. Beutel is survived by his wife, the former Linda J. Witkop; a son, Robert; three daughters, Brenda Campbell and Denise Fetterhoff, both of Brandon, Fla., and Sherri Hausler of Lockport; a brother, Wilfred of Wheatfield; a sister, Marilyn Schiefer of, Indian Rocks Beach, Fla.; and three grandchildren.
