      Max D. Pfohl. 77, of Walmore Road, Sanborn. died Sunday, May 31, 1992 in Mount St. Mary's Hospital after a lengthy illness. Pfohl was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, where he served as an elder. He was a member of the Niagara Milk Co-Op Inc., the LaSalle Sportsmen's Club and an exempt member of the Sanborn Fire Co. He is survived by his wife, Carol M. (Haseley) Pfohl of Sanborn; three sons, David Pfohl. James Pfohl and Robert Haseley, all of Sanborn; a daughter, Judith Long of Sanborn; four sisters, Martha Haseley, Verone Haseley. Lizzie Haseley and Eleanore (sic) Craft, all of Sanborn; a brother, Louis Pfohl of Sanborn; two granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Minnie Kroening Sigmund Pfohl and the Rev. John Pfohl. Visitation was held June 1 and 2 at the DuBois Funeral Home. Bergholz. The Rev. Herbert R. Maxwell conducted services June 3 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, with burial in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church entrance fund.

      SANBORN - Max D. Pfohl, 77, of Walmore Road, died Sunday (May 31, 1992) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital after a lengthy illness. The native of Lewiston was the son of John and Eleonore (Fahrenwald) Pfohl. He operated his family's dairy farm his entire life. Pfohl was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, where he served as an elder. He was a member of the Niagara Milk Co-Op Inc., the LaSalle Sportsmen's Club and an exempt member of the Sanborn Fire Co. He is survived by his wife, Carol M. (Haseley) Pfohl of Sanborn; three sons, David Pfohl, James Pfohl and Robert Haseley, all of Sanborn; a daughter, Judith Long of Sanborn; four sisters, Martha Haseley, Verone Haseley, Lizzie Haseley and Eleonore Craft, all of Sanborn; a brother Louis Pfohl of Sanborn; two granddaughters; and Several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, Bergholz. The Rev. Herbert R. . Maxwell will conduct services at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church on Walmore Road, Wheatfield. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Wheatfield.
