Long Illness Fatal To Benjamin Jagow
Benjamin W. J. Jagow, 59, a lifelong resident of the town of Wheatfield, residing on the Niagara road in Bergholz, died yesterday at the Memorial hospital Niagara Falls, after an illness of several weeks. One of the best known residents of the village, Jagow was a charter member and one of the organizers of the Bergholz Fire company. He was also member of the Zion Lutheran church on Cayuga Drive, Niagara Falls. Surviving are his wife, Esther Gombert Jagow; a daughter, Helen Jagow, at home, and two brothers, Philip and Theodore Jagow of Niagara Falls. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 P.M. from the residence and half an hour later from the Zion church. The Rev. George F. Heuer will conduct the rites and interment will be in Memorial Park, Niagara Falls.
